What silent stones curve in agony

More so than those in stringent halls,

Where Heaven’s light cannot po-

llute blessed zenith peaks?

Dauntless hands reach out

through hallowed bars

to kiss the

light of

God

Artist Explanation

This is a comment about religion. It is a take on the idea of condemnation of LGBT individuals. The basic premise is it is not God who condemns us but people, hence the title. There is this idea in our society one must pick between their sexuality and religion. That is wrong and unnecessary. People who are brave enough will be able to find their own version of belief, even if it is informal. They need to reach through the bars of societal normalcy and create their own path.
